ANZAC Ceremony

ANZAC Day was very different this year both at school and at home. We had a small ceremony at school with those students attending the last week of school and the staff. Students and Staff laid a wreathe at the flagpole and we all observed a minute's silence.

On Saturday morning, 25th April, my family commemorated ANZAC Day from the top of our drive. We listened to the service broadcast on the local radio and once again observed a minute's silence. I had made ANZAC lanterns, decorated with poppies, which was a small glimmer of light at dawn. It was quite a moving time, with the backdrop of noise from the kookaburras and magpies, which was very fitting in these changing times. I hope you all had a moment to reflect on the service of the ANZACs.

Some students were able to send in their poems for ANZAC Day. Please click on the picture below to view poems from Osman, Ava, Saxon and Ruairi.
