From the Teacher...

The class has settled in really well for the start of 2018. Already we have chosen Student Representatives and this week interested students nominated for Faction Captains. The results of this election will be announced at the Senior Assembly on Friday in Week 6.

Thank you to all parents who attended the Parent Information Evening in Week 3. It was lovely to see parents checking on the routines for the class. Those families unable to attend should have received a copy of the Powerpoint presentation with all the relevant information. Details on the School Standards to be achieved by the end of Year Six are on the blog. Should you wish to organise an appointment to discuss any concerns with your  child or their learning please do not hesitate to contact me (notes in diary or ringing the office).

A reminder that we have a 'Welcome to new parents' at 2pm on Wednesday 6th March (Week 6) for anyone interested.



Could I please ask for your support in encouraging your child to complete the homework tasks set on the blog each week? Occasionally there may be additional finishing off work, particularly where a student has been absent from class, due to Student Rep. duties or other programs, eg. guitar, choir.
I'm looking forward to working with your child and their family to have a positive year with good growth in student learning.
