Lesmurdie Senior High School

Transition Day

On Monday, 25 June, the students visited Lesmurdie Senior High School for a transition day. The students learned how to read a timetable and navigate their way around the school. We caught up with some previous students at lunch who were able to talk to students about how quickly they settled into the school. The different groups visited the Performing Arts Centre, the music rooms, the design and engineering rooms.

Book Fair & visit from Mrs McGowan

At the end of Term Two the P&C organised a Book Fair. We enjoyed our visit to look and buy the books and took part in a competition. Thank you to the P&C for organising this worthy fundraiser for our school. Halle was one of a group of students who went around the classes reading excerpts from the books for sale to get everyone's interest up.
We also had a visit from Mrs McGowan (Premiere's wife) as part of her reading program.

Winter Carnival

Congratulations to all the students who competed at the winter carnival. We competed in football, netball and soccer. All of our sporting teams displayed an excellent level of skill and outstanding sportsmanship. The soccer A team and the netball A team won their divisions.

WA Day

We celebrated WA Day (4th July) Looking at places around WA that we love. Students brought in a picture of their favourite place in WA to add to the art installation organised by Ms Randall.

Run 4 Fun

On Friday, 1st June, the students took part in the Run4Fun event organised by the P & C. The students had a great time running around in their rainbow colours. They are all looking forward to receiving prizes for their fundraising. A big “thank you” to the P & C for organising such a good fundraising and fun event. We all loved the afternoon, especially dancing to the music – collated by Mr Sanderson.
