Merit Certificate and Literacy Pro certificate Winners

Congratulations to James, Keagan and Naznin on earning a merit certificate at our Senior Assembly on 9th November.

Congratulations also to the Literacy Pro certificate winners at the last assembly. Keep up the good reading.

Kalgoorlie Camp

Another terrific camp this year. The students loved all the activities and some of them have definitely got the 'gold' bug'.

We found out lots about the history of Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie and how the gold rush affected the growth of our state. It was great to visit the Kalgoorlie & Boulder Town Halls to see what government looks like in real life and fits well with our work on Civics and Citizenship.

Mostly we all enjoyed spending time with our peers. A highlight for most students was the trip to the Super Pit and prospecting for gold.

Arts Festival

We had a fabulous evening at the Arts Festival in Week 3. It was great to see the work done by our talented students in the Art Room. A big thanks to Ms Randall for preparing all the work to make a real exhibition of their skills.
The activities from other arts areas were fantastic: dancing, acting (in Italian), choir, guitar and circus performance. We hope you all enjoyed this wonderful occasion.

Interschools Numero Competition

We had a wonderful day on Friday of Week Two for those students in the Numero Team. We got to play one of our favourite games all day with card playing and challenges. The 'scramble' was also very popular.

Thank you to my helpers on the day - McKenna, Paige, Isabella and Jalen from Room 11.

Congratulations to Toby and Jackson, members of the Wattle Grove Equalisers team, they came 2nd in our heat and narrowly missed out on a berth in the Grand Final. Congratulations also go to Halle whose team Wattle Grove Numerators came 6th on the day.

Welcome to Term Four

This is the final term at primary school for our Year Six students. Lots of things are happening this term. We start off with dancing, then camp and swimming. Portfolios have been submitted and students are now preparing for Super Scientists. We are heading towards graduation at a rate of knots whilst continuing to prepare students for high school. I encourage students to use these last weeks well and keep up with all the learning taking place.

We have a Pre-Service teacher, Mr Attwood in the class from Week 2 to Week 7. The students got to know him last term and are now enjoying many learning activities with Mr Attwood in charge.

Please enjoy a preview of our dancing from lessons at the beginning of term. We certainly have some excellent dancers in our class. I'm really looking forward to the Graduation evening where we can all show off our skills.
