Australia Day celebrations
On Friday of Week 2 the school had their own celebrations of Australia Day. Many students dressed up and donated a gold coin to a chosen charity. We had a discussion on choices of charities in Room 11 and will be working on this theme throughout the year. Our school motto is "Give to receive" and together with regular fundraising by Year Six students we hope to develop students citizenship skills. The money raised on Friday will be going to a charity that supports children - Act for Kids.
