Room 15 was the first Senior Assembly for 2016. Our
assembly item was the recital of a famous Australian bush poem – “Said
Hanrahan” by P J Hartigan. The students did a fabulous job reciting this poem
with feeling and emphasis. A special mention to those students who took on the
challenge of using a different accent to show the characters – Well done Jake,
Doyle, Samara and Divya. Thank you to
Miss Randall and all the students who gave up their free time to complete the
fabulous backdrop of a traditional country Australian farm, it looked fabulous.
Congratulations to Merit Certificate winners; Sai, Steven and Syreeta. In addition, Namita and Densil won the Science Awards and Chandrea and Lucy won the Values Award for demonstrating respect.
